No problem bro - I'm amazed that little lighter (parabolic mirror) is still being manufactured! I don't smoke anymore, so a dollar store magnifying glass is all I need!

Carry a clear condom in your wallet. Fill the condom with water and use it as a improvised magnifying glass.

Didnt read all of the posts but if youre doing ANY stick twists you MUST remember to notch the wood otherwise the embers will be pushed out of th ehole and will not heat up.

hmmm, get yourself a little round can with a top that will come off. you want one that will seal pretty good. punch a tiny hole in the top of the lid.

get 100% cotton cloth, cut it into small squares.

put the cotton in the can, put the top on and toss it into a fire.

the little hole will smoke like crazy.

when there is no more smoke, wait about thirty seconds, then fish the can out. [edited to add]: when ya get the can outta the fire, plug the little hole and wait a bit before opening.

the cotton has charred and will take a spark lickety split.

put some jute or uncharred cotton or coffee filters in the can(or use a new sealable can without the hole in the top, but keep the charring can for later) with a couple little pieces of flint and a good steel(think mountain man websites for this little item, i love mine) and there you have a pocket fire kit.

im certainly no expert, but i can usually get the charcloth going by at least the third strike and flame within ten seconds, usually.
