    Again! 5 bags of coleslaw mix was half price. All of it went in the Excalibur this morning.
    If you try this be aware that tiny pieces fall through and you will need a liner under each tray
    By tonight they should all be done
    Gonna start using rice as a dessicant

    Make sure there is no moisture what so ever if you use rice or you WILL get mildew.
    Myself, I prefer fermenting cabbage rather than dehydrating it. It lasts longer and tastes a whole lot better.

    We made a huge batch of sauerkraut one year, slid the cases of jars under the bed. Some of the lids were too tight... Nothing like quart jars blowing their lids at 3 a.m. to give your ol heart a good check.
