Thinking about baking chocolate chip cookies tonight. This got me to thinking that my favorite are my Mother's, I'll be using her recipe but they just aren't the same.

True story.

A couple years after My wife and I got married, I was looking in the freezer for something and found some chocolate chip cookie dough. I decided to make some cookies. Had them in the oven and boy they were smelling good. My wife comes out of the bathroom, starts sniffing the air , and said, " What's that smell " ?

I'm baking cookies , I said.

She looked at me with that wife look and said , " Cookies " ??!!

I said , " Yeah , cookies " .

" You never made cookies before " !!!! She screamed. " You're having an affair !!! "

I said , " What " ?????

" YOU'RE HAVING AN AFFAIR " she screamed. " YOU NEVER MADE COOKIES BEFORE " !!!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, it ain't worth it.

This is a really great chocolate chip cookie recipe. These cookies turn out fluffy and cakelike, which is how I like my cookies. Enjoy!
