Happy New Year. May it be a whole lot better than the last one
Greater love hath no man than this, That a man lay down his life for a friend.

I keep seeing about how terrible 2020 was. Overall, the only bad thing that really happened was a media plague. Numbers don't support anything else, and there were far more abortion deaths than la rona, and total deaths in US similar to any other year. Only media the difference.
Once on safari in deepest darkest Afganistan we ran out of Gin, and were compelled to survive on food and water for several days.

I have to say it could have had a much better start for me. My mom passed away Dec 30th. She was 91, would have been 92 on march 16th. But although our hearts are heavy, it wasn't really a grieving time as much a the celebration of a life fully and well lived. Mom had been in failing health for a number of years. Her mind had just about gone, and my brother had to put her in a nursing home about a year and a half ago. But mom is in a much better place now. She waited almost 23 years to join daddy, who passed away in February, 1998. They're together again now, praising our Lord and Savior in person. And the thought came to me during the service: I kind of wonder if King Solomon wasn't given a vision of my mom all those centuries ago, for when he described the attributes of a virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10 - 31, he described my mom almost perfectly.
