    Yes, it is a painful procedure. I remember my dad talking about it. I also remember my dad not following the orders on when he could start eating again, and what kinds of foods he could eat. He said the pain from the stomach spasms was worse than he had ever experienced before. Youíve got a large area missing inside you so itís going to take time for all of the other organs to adapt to their new surroundings.


    I know you donít like pain meds but you really need to take them. They work a LOT better when you take them before you are in excruciating pain. Wait till then to take them and they will barely take the edge off. Take them as you start to feel the pain coming on and they work a LOT better with the minimum dosage.

    I'm being discharged today. I'm so glad this is over. I'm just very exhausted and hurt all over.
    Thank god I had a band of phenomenal nurse.

    Yes! I'm a very fast healer a healthy immune system..
    Ya can't keep a good woman down. .ive even cut way back my intake of pain meds.

    There is just something being home in familiar surroundings than in a hospital to help the healing process.
    Cammie, be patient and don't overdue.

    Itís good to hear from you Cammie, and itís even better to hear that you are being discharged!!!


    Just like what Centex says, donít over do things. Healing takes time so donít push it.
