Have read two interesting books on the American Civil war which present a very different understanding from that sterilized, sanitized, bleached out version taught in most public schools...

"The Tragic Era" By Claude Bowers

    https://www.amazon.com/Tragic-Era-Am...s%2C153&sr=8-2

    and also

"The South Was Right" by James Ronald Kennedy and Walter Donald Kennedy.

    https://www.amazon.com/South-Right-J...s%2C170&sr=8-1

Both very interesting and give many details left out of most of our history lessons.

    Also

"Mr. 'Secretary" by Ben Ames Williams

    https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Secretary-...9948703&sr=8-1

Ben Ames Williams is the pen name for Secretary of War for the Union ....Edwin Stanton and under his pen name he describes how he interfered with many battles in the American Civil War and threw them to the South to insure that the war continued for many years...including the Battle of Gettysburg.

Also how he knew something was afoot the night of the play at Ford's Theater.....and he did nothing...including advised US Grant not to go for he too was invited to attend the Presidents Theater Box and declined.

    Also

"This One Mad Act" by Izola Forrester...

    https://www.amazon.com/Izola-Forrest...s%2C158&sr=8-1

Izola Forrester is the grand daughter of John Wilks Booth and she used her Reporters skills to find out what happened to her grandfather and found out something very unusual about the official government tale of her grandfathers death...in that famous barn.

Wow...and I thought my copy was expensive at Amazon back at $150.00.

But it is a very interesting read and she found that her Grand Father died in Asia in 1879....not in that barn and people in Washington DC knew it.

I am wondering to myself how history is going to record all these riots as well as this coming election and how it will be sanitized for those who will not dig deeper into the official versions of history.

It appears that "The Ever War " is continuing......the Ishmaelites are still with us....so too the Pharisees.

I believe GeneC was making a point that no war is civil.
