    Default What’s next

I have a very close friend that I just got off the phone with. The one whose husband refused to let her prep.
She went to dollar tree to get a few things and while at the checkout line started a conversation with the cashier. Last of the conversation was this. “ funny you should mention that but the guy who delivers eggs here told us today that this would be the last of the eggs. Ever! No more nada. And the guy said there is more than that going on too ! He wouldn’t say more. Now if you pick things apart little bit by little bit ,What have you got. Anybody else got hairs on the back of their neck standing up. I am not making this up.

I would be concerned if I wasn't prepared for a depression scenario.
If my husband told me that, he would be gone because
I won't deceive anyone to do what I have to do. To me, being prepared is a necessity.

Same here. Spidey senses have been off the charts. There's so much happening and I don't think most people have realized that once everything that's in the "just in time" delivery pipeline gets delivered, there isn't anything behind it to resupply. I know we've somehow managed to keep food on the shelves at the grocery stores etc, but for how much longer? We are in for changes the likes of which most people won't even be able to process. I think Trump was right about suicides killing more than the coronavirus. Bad bad things on the horizon and approaching at speed.

fda just changed regulations to allow eggs destined for restaurants to be diverted to supermarkets
of course there are different bureaucratic stupid regulations on those two classes of eggs
who knew restaurant eggs were different from supermarket eggs - just your friendly government regulators.

on the other hand, farmers are reporting that getting feed for their animals is getting harder to find.

I do think we are heading for additional food price and availability shocks coming our way soon.

I'm a little behind where I want to be. Losing my wife in March last year just absolutely threw me into a dark room. It took me several months to start to get back to being "me" again. I'm probably back to about 90% now. My prep speed is now set on warp factor two (you old Star Trek fans will know how fast that is...ZOOOOOOOOOM!!)

Finished tilling my garden spot this morning. Its about 2000sq feet, roughly, and I'm considering, STRONGLY, tilling up some more space to grow grub. Can't plant here until after the middle of April anyway...wait until the danger of frost is past.

I, too, think we have some very austere times coming in the not too distant future. Even we who know how to provide for ourselves, growing food, hunting, fishing...hunter/gatherers...may very well, at some point, find ourselves at extreme odds with the government goons who want everyone under their complete control. I think this covid-19, and what is resulting from it,is a liberal/socialist/deep stater/NWOer/one world government freak/ politician's wet dream come true. A step toward getting everyone having to turn to them for anything and everything we may need just to exist. I believe they'll be coming after us who resist with a vengeance. Those of you who read any of William W. Johnstone's "Ashes" series (Ben Raines) will remember the Tri States area that Ben established after the world went to hell in a hand basket. I can almost envision something like that taking place if this mess with this virus continues to get worse. I hope it doesn't come to that, but we'll have to wait and see how things progress, or digress...whichever.

Was in a local food lion..the other day and there were no eggs to be found and very little butter...no bleach....

Have not been going out much …..and when I do...like to home depot or Bass pro..I get frustrated with the lines waiting to go in ..and leave...though I am wearing PPE.

Never was much for standing in line...but it may become the wave of the future...and that concerns me..Ishmaelites taking over and herding everyone,

Was out at the local chain store, early, early. They were out of bread, flour and yeast, looks like people are learning to bake their own bread, lol.

all localized or by region shortages >>> except for the sanitizer & usual PPE shortages there's little differences in the stores - even regular discounting going on ...
