The Bay Area, including San Francisco, will be directed to "shelter in place" until April 7 in an attempt to contain the coronavirus outbreak, the San Francisco Chronicle first reported on Monday.

The directive, which will go into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, affects six Bay Area counties, including the county and city of San Francisco.

Exactly! We are given the responsibility to use common sense. If we fail, our government will step in.

I don't see this as " punishment ". more drastic measures would be needed to insure the safety of others if some refuse to use common sense to prevent the spread of a deadly virus. I agree it's a burden but at some point, drastic measures must be taken to prevent the spread that could potentially Colapse a nation. We are on the verge of a serious recession that could potentially progress into a depression.

    "INCLUDING THIS BULL**** RUMOR"

Dude - lighten up a bit. I said it was a rumor, not gospel. The only reason I posted was because it came from the mouth of a neighbor that happens to be an active-duty Marine, not from Joe Six-Pack off the street....and it can be interpreted many different ways. Just curious if others had heard any other rumblings of the sort.... never meant to piss in your Wheaties.

Trump will act on the advice of the combined CDC and his cabinet of specialist.

Hubby brought his work computer home today, will be working from home for the duration. I told him to ask, but his boss brought it up before he mentioned it. They finally decided to cancel school here, so Gavin gets two weeks for Spring Break. Canceled until at least April 6, maybe longer, depending on how things go. Is it weird that I'm looking forward to us all just being home? Kidding season starts on Friday, maybe, so that will be our outside time. The only thing I'm not completely ready for is hay for the goats, however the hay place is pretty sparsely populated anyway, just pay and they load the truck. Its time for baby goats, need to liven up the place.

I spent twenty three years on active duty so I know how "scuttlebutt" can get started and run like wildfire. Most of the time its about 1% truth and 99% "Bravo Sierra".
