I'm too old to be terrified or afraid, but I do have concerns. I think yesterday was just a precursor of what's to come. I fear for the continuance of our beloved Republic. I think we may be about to have to fight like mad men to preserve it, and it may break up into smaller nation states when its all done. Honestly, I think America already died and no one wrote an obituary or offered tribute to the good She once was.

One of my thoughts today was for Texas to cede from the union. All of this current upheaval will fuel a movement to do so.
As we all witnessed yesterday (I'm referring to the joint session of congress), most but not all, there truly isn't any difference between the democratic or republican parties.
I've known this for a long time but yesterday is a perfect example of what a corrupt system congress has become. The sad thing if nothing is done to correct this, it will only get even more entrenched and every single person will suffer except for the ones who are in power.
What is the difference of what happened to Ceasar or Trump......one thing, a knife wasn't used.
