Christians try to succeed spiritually, and fail. Non-Christians try to fail spiritually, and succeed. (Praise the Lord for His forgiveness of my failures) Its like shooting a bow and arrow instinctively...no sights. Jut look at where you want the arrow to go, concentrate on that tiny spot, draw the bow and release. But no matter how good you are, sometimes you miss...not ony the spot, but the entire target. Why? your focus, your concentration , was broken by something; a bird flew across your line of vision, the wind blew a leaf, something. But it broke your concentrationj just enough to make you miss. That's how it is trying to live a good Christian life. But Satan is always messing with you. You try to focus on Jesus, but something, some really insignificant something, that Satan can use to break your focus, your concentration happens, and you slip. You feel horrible. That's what Satan wants, to make you feel undeserving of God's mercy. But if you stop, refocus on the Savior, He puts you back on track. Again, praise the Lord for His forgiveness, His mercy, and His grace.
