check out the chart hiwall just sent
pick live hogs which are up 3% just today
then look at the 5 month chart by clicking the 5M button upper right.
April 1 (three days ago) they were trading about $87 - right now $98 - that's almost as good as a Killery cattle futures trade (look it up).

and maybe this has something to do with it:

Food Crisis 2019: An Outbreak Of African Swine Fever Is Devastating The Global Pig Population, And Pork Prices Are Skyrocketing

An absolutely devastating disease is wiping out herds of pigs all over Asia, and most people in the western world donít even realize what is happening.

really feeling sorry for those Midwestern farmers.
they are facing another big storm - forecast for 12-18" of snow this week in Minneapolis, which is 2-4" of water
many areas in the Midwest are going to be "too wet to plow" this season

I'm hauling a HazMat load out west from a Yankee state and when I got towards Omaha and took the I 680 beltway because it's the law, the beltway is rerouted because the entire rest of the beltway has been severely damaged from flooding and an entire town has been evacuated and condemned because of the flooding. This is not a trifling matter.
