Just take it easy for a month and then you are good to go.
Yeah, I had one back in Jan 1991 on the right side. It was open surgery. Still, I was back at work in about four weeks. Doc told me in the initial visit not to lift anything over ten pounds for the first three weeks. Gonna sort of play things by ear, and heed doctor's advice and instructions. I'm not worried about it, I just want to get it over so I can get on with life. And thanks to all of you for your well wishes.

You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. Why didn't you just do the surgery yourself? Wuss

Best of luck with it. I guess I got old but don't rush rehab, they say that fixing re injury is worse.

Wife and kids hid my surgical tools and won't tell me where they are. Reckon I could have used my Ka-bar to do surgery, and a sewing needle and fishing line to sew it up, but, oh well! (Heh, heh)

No worries, Chip. I'll take it easiER, but ain't gonna turn into a couch potato. Us old codgers just don't heal as fast as we once did. I'm at that age when my mind says, "aw, go ahead. You can still do what you could when you were twenty years old". My body replies with, "yeah, go ahead, and see how bad I'm gonna hurt you, fool". Think I'll listen to my body for a change. UPDATE: Surgery went very well. Reported to horse pistol at 0630 for registration, went into surgery about 0750, out of surgery and back home at 1105. Two very small incisions. Little sore but negligible pain. Walking around in the house at almost normal pace. Once again, thanks to all of you for the prayers and well wishes.

Nope! I had my pistol hidden under the surgical gown, and I warned them all I'd better not any "oops"!
