I planted 14 lemon trees and 4 more avocado trees today. Also planted a few more grape cutting I started this Spring and they took off like crazy!
I started the lemon trees from seed and the avocado trees from grafts. They all took off strong once they formed roots. WOOHOOOO!
Making good people helpless, doesn't make bad people harmless!
I sat down and put together an order of $1,000 worth of fruit, nut, berries...plants and trees, I didn't order but it has to count for something right? LOL

I've got room for one more probably peach tree, and can't decide if I should pull another and replace, it is lame and sick looking. Wish I had room for more. I could pant at ranch, but my hand just doesn't get growing anything, and needing water.

I, like many people on this forum I'd imagine, wish they had the time, land, and wherewithal to do what has been described in this thread. Thank you for sharing your process Cammy. I've copied it down and out of this thread for future use. While you were off grafting stuff, I finally managed to grow two dozen potatoes but only after I managed to contain my FIL's panache for over watering everything multiple times a day with his Rain One irrigation system. Sure hope it doesn't hit the fan anytime soon because the large family garden didn't fare so well due to the over watering and in-laws reluctance to trim a stinking tree. Just keep moving forward and solving problems I guess.
Hannibal ad portas
Yesterday I spent a little time on the big farm with my favorite son and we dug up about 6 young paw paws an oak and 5 tulip poplars. I transplanted them into various places around my home. Along my drive I now have 2 persimmon 4 paw paw and a plum, I'd like now to add 4 various cherry and a couple apricot.
I've noticed the very young trees fall victim to what I'm assuming is rabbits snipping them off within a few inches of the ground at very clean 45 degree cuts. They aren't picky they get the oak and poplar too. I really need to get me some black 4" drain pipe and place around all of my trees. My blueberrys fell victim to something last year and I lost 4 plants, I'm down to only 2 but they look healthy and are loaded with new berries. I am thinking that some type of bug killed them because they looked great and then were just dead.

Shot in a 3D Archery shoot called Total Archery Challenge just northeast of San Antonio in the Hill Country. The Agaritas are going to have a bumper crop this year. About a week from ripe berries. Probably my favorite jelly, and it's been many years since I've harvested any.

Did a quick google search, remind me of goji berries. Probably no relation.
