I wish it was gas lighting but this attack on Guam came straight from Kim himself. He said on the video he is planning to deploy 4 nuke ready bombs on Guam and he said he intends to destroy AAB.
I'm just repeating his rhetoric from the vid. Not Fox.

This is a gaslighting news article by Fox News. A misdirection. Anderson AFB is only a partial threat..to the NK. It is not the big picture. This is already in the plans..the possibility of losing a forward deployed base like Anderson AFB.

What you want to see is further down the island of Guam to a small town named Piti next to a deep water harbor. In this harbor you can see a large ship tied to the pier at its stern..its rear parked at the pier..not sideways as is usual for a ship. Chances are ...that this is an olde picture on Google earth ...two weeks olde or more.
No telling how long or if these ships are still there.

There are two gangplank looking T structures amidships sticking out sideways from the ship. This is a submarine tender. There are two submarines tied up to the pier..and one across the bay. This is what one needs to be watching...not the Air Force base. The Air Force Base is what someone wants us to see and know. For it is much more difficult to hide.

Once these and other boats are put to sea....with proper loadouts..they are very very difficult to find.

Constantly on the move..an aircraft carrier and it's escorts are not all that easy to find as well...and one or two of it's escorts will be submarines.

But the big question is ..."Where are our "Boomers????" For that is the question the North Koreans need to keep in mind....always. That...Camouflaged...is the pucker factor!!!

For they can stay out on station six months or more ...unseen and unknown...then replaced by another "Boomer."

This cycle has been going on since the mid 1960s with little knowledge by most Americans.

The leadership of North Korea ...have much much bigger problems than Anderson AFB, Guam....much much bigger and more immediate. Anderson AFB on Guam just happens to be closer to Korea than other bases...like Hawaii or Alaska...et al....continental USA etc.

Remember...we have a Nimitz class carrier stationed in Japan too. And they are talking about Guam??? Do you not think that someone has also factored in the possibility that we might lose a forward deployed base like Japan as well???

This article is a distraction by Fox News and way off the main highway.

Agree...neither Russia nor China want a war with the USA..and it would be very destructive to a profitable commerce...status quo.

    Remember what Einstein said:
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

In addition to that vid, Kim has just responded to Trumps fire and fury. Kim just told the USA that, quote; "NK will Attack Guam with nukes by mid-August." End quote.

I would adventure to guess Guam is not his actual target.

It's been longer than THAT! The U. S. Navy's submarine service has always been voluntary, and has been known as "the silent service" since WW2, due to an unfortunate, rather stupid, incident perpetrated by (unfortunatly) a U.S. Navy admiral. During the early months of World War Two, the biggest asset we had was our fleet of diesel electric submarines, the Balao and Gato class "fleet submarines." The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor had missed our submarines --- a BIG mistake on their part. During an early part of the war, a Admiral was giving a press briefing, in which he was asked how the submarines were fairing against Japanese destroyer forces. Probably with the intent of allaying the fears of Americans, and especially so the families of those men who were serving aboard those subs, he replied that the destroyers weren't touching the subs because they weren't setting the depth charge's fuse to go off at a deep enough point (the fuses on depth charges were set off by water pressure and were adjustable for depth via a wrench-like tool). The newspapers promptly published this along with other points he made.
Much to his later regret, and the lives of American Submariners' lives, the Japanese subscribed to American newspapers. So guess what they did?
They started adjusting those fuses to go off deeper.
And the U.S. Navy started losing submarines. No one reports a lost sub .... if they can't get to the surface their communication ability in WW2 was pretty much zip. They just stop reporting in.
The Navy caught on to its mistake .... too late to do much about depth charge fuses ....but they implemented a policy that they DO NOT DISCUSS OR TALK ABOUT THE OPERATIONS OF AMERICAN SUBMARINES. PERIOD.
I'm sure that the current problems we're experiencing with NorKs has caused alerts and some changes to go out to our boomers and attack boats. These will not be announced. What goes on at airports isn't so much a midirection , per se, since the Navy simply does not discuss submarine deployments. But everyone can point a camera at a Air Force Base and count the B1B Lancers, the F-15 Eagles, the tanker craft, recon, elint, and so forth.
The press for the most part simply doesn't think about the submarines.
And I'm just fine with that/
Let that little loonytoon in N. Korea worry. IF he even thinks about boomers .... that is.....

He doesn't have to hit the mainland. If it is of any decent yield and goes off above the atmosphere near the mainland, it's major damage.

Don't be so sure that the USA or Japan can shoot the missiles down. Our state of the art THAAD missiles have only just over a hundred mile range. They are a direct hit missile so they have to actually strike the incoming object. This is quite a feat.
Japan has our Patriot missile systems. Their range is much shorter at well under a hundred miles. If the North lofted their missiles to a high altitude they could be easily out of range of Japan.
Anti-ballistic missiles do not always work.
So could we (or Japan) knock down a Nork missile? Maybe. But certainly far from a sure thing.
