Good to hear things are going well, What's the recovery time on a hip replacement nowadays?

Friend of mine had this done. He's in his late 30's and is a cancer survivor, the chemo apparently eats up your hips like nobody's business. Says it changed his life, feels like a new man within a few weeks after the surgery. 4-5 months on now, and he's doing great.

I wish you a similarly speedy and full recovery! Congrats on the new hardware!

I should be back to work after 8 weeks baring any set backs...
It is amazing how much you can do just a day after surgery... I was up on a walker 6 hrs after surgery... Not far but to the bathroom and back and a short jaunt to PT...

    Good...

Have a question, will you be able to kick as high as before the hip started bothering you?
Is there a mechanical stop or such that will prevent you from doing that, or even doing forward and side splits?
