    I will say maybe not, but then we don't know the scenario of what has happened to cause a person to be trapped more than 30 miles from home.

    If SHTF doubt very seriously your going to be able to charge it on the way back.
    My commute is 15 miles one way. The closest large town to me that I frequent is 10 miles from me. In the last year, I have been more than 30 miles from home a total of about 10 times. Out of those, only twice was I by myself. If I am with my family, a folding bike would do me no good, but for 99% of my travels, it would work great.

    My commute is 26 miles one way. So I'm always that far from home. In a city of 300k
    Thankfully I have plenty of rally/stash points along the way to facilitate me getting home w/o too much gear
    Once during a hunting trip in Remote Alaska I ran out of Twinkie’s and was compelled to live off of of fish and moose meat

    I drive 100 miles to my project, will be doing so for at least 3 more months........ it's one of my closer projects. I tell my ol lady if shtf to give me three weeks before she worries.
