    Default Quinine For Leg Cramps

I have been having terrable leg cramps at night. The kind that wake you up screaming. I have been told tha quinine will help. I know that it has been taken off the market in the Peoples Republic of the US but I did some checking and it is available in Canada.

Has anyone used quinine for leg cramps and if so how much and how often?

    Thanks

Don't know about quinine, I read somewhere that it doesn't work for leg cramps, but I don't know. I get them bad too. My wife says to eat bananas , but I hate bananas.

Pineapples leave bananas and pickle juice in the dust.
    Trust. It's what's for dinner.

Don't forget magnesium. Studies show that the majority of Americans are magnesium deficient. I take 400 mg. five days a week.

Try "mega multi mineral" by solaray and "trace mineral maintenance" by natures sunshine. Take a good multi vitamin plus these for one month and I bet your cramps will be better. It really works for me and mine. If you eat a normal american diet you are probably mineral deficient.

If you have leg cramps and pain or sore knees, feet, ankles do gentle squats several times a day. At first it will be stiff and creaky but the more you do them the better your body parts will feel. The human body wasn't originally designed to sit in a chair or stand in one place all day.

If you seriously want to try quinine, it is still used in tonic water.

ok yes tonic water does help.. my husband was working as an iron worker for years and the companies kept them in Gatorade during the summer which didn't help one bit but the men thought hey that's great of them,, tonic water should be in your stash definitely.. also there is a supplement called slow mag that I get in the otc section of walmart..I use it for restless leg syndrome as well.. hubby drives 18 wheeler and in summer I have to remind him to get tonic water,, that's the old school way of handling leg cramps
