    OK, to be fair here.....

The M17 bag is probably the WORST designed medic bag I've ever seen. It's just horrible - words can't describe what a POS it is. And a cubic foot of nylon bag is not conveniently strapped to your vest or LBE.

And the contents are lots of fluff (literally, in some cases). Gauze is relatively cheap. And the tourniquet in it is NOT acceptable these days (in the lower right corner of the photo). Nor does it have a chest seal, blood stoppers, and the other modern things that save lives. If someone wsa to buy the Archangel kit, I'd upgrade to the Celox or add quickclot gauze.

Full disclosure: I have absolutely NO involvement with the production or sale of either kit or any products mentioned.

The one thing that seems to be missing from the Archangel kit is the 3 1/2" 12 ga angiocath, for pneumthorax treatment. But, it's a controlled item so its not something easily acquired without an Rx.

So all it needs is a chest seal and blood stopper? Lol

It has a chest seal, and the blood stopper is optional. Both of which are missing from the M17 kit

Just completed my update training for the 2017 revisions. Latest revision to the medical training: no more occlusive dressings for chest wound. Tourniquets and blood clotting back in favor. Big push on opiate overdose procedures.
Training materials have not yet been shipped, so I have not seen the new curriculum yet. The instructors were required to complete the update course prior to having access to the new materials.

So, what would one recommend as something to get that would fill in the cracks of a random collection of items. I was a past emt-A, and I know there are holes in what I should ideally have. What would you recommend that would fill the basic needs, not considering what someone might already have ?
