Default Strongest solar flair of the year. July 22-23, 2016

Thankfully because the sun has been so quiet lately they were not very big comparatively. M class. NASA caught it in video.

HAM bands were completely dead all weekend. Reportedly, one of the largest events in recent history.

Wonder if that was what was causing our brownouts for days. Hummm. Interesting.

Yall check out bpearthwatch, on YouTube. He has been doing short vids on the tech we use in space. If ya would caught him a few years ago he said alignments were bs. Then not long ago he changed this idea on the subject. He also does short commentary on politics and is versed in the Word.

I don't care for alot of content on YouTube, but there are some excellent vids that show graphs and charts that help put what's going on in space in relation to where we are and how we got here to where we are going.

I've always liked space, it sad folks don't believe in what's out there. We could also have sustainable mining/resource projects if we used what was around us instead of destroying the earth.

Does anyone know the duration on the flares?

Typically M class solar flares are not strong enough to knock out ham radio signals for that long. Not to mention, the flares did not even hit earth. Only a glancing blow from the wake of the CME is what hit earth.
