We also have a 20 mile long lake that is great for iceboats when the weather is cold and snowless. Pretty spectacular watching a 100mph ice sailer rattling across the ice.

Same here. I'm built too damn low to the ground for that white stuff.

Winter and outhouses in the rockies where the term "freeze your ass off" was originated.

Calling for up to an inch of snow today, that'll be the first snow that stuck so far this year. Got the plow on the truck and synthetic oil in the gennie last week. Going to winterize the outhouse at the BOL this weekend. Been a real pleasant Fall here this year, hoping for a mild Winter so there's less firewood to replace next year.

Winter is when the uniform of the day to walk the dog is arctic parka. Just now we had about two inches of snow that makes two foot drifts.

Took awhile, but winter finally arrived here. First real snow of any significance this weekend, about 8". Plowing a section of the driveway, with my faithful dog leading the way.

Clearing the snow off the solar panels on our two-story home (view from the fixed/permanent ladder after finishing).
