Haha, you know, it really isn't that bad, and I'm mostly a homebody. Up here they really have their act together for snow. At most, if you have a bad snow storm, you MIGHT miss one day of work, but not more. I'm actually not looking forward to having to visit the livestock in the winter, but I figure it might help me get in better shape. I also tend to sleep in too much if I don't have anything important to do. I can work a grave shift like clock work, but if I don't have a plan for the day, I'm worthless. I figure caring for animals who need me to live will help me keep my day in order.

I have a new flock of 10 Barred Rock hens for rich brown eggs I purchased in March as day old chicks from IDEAL POULRTY.
I also purchased 2 roo chicks to keep the flock producing.
This morning I went out to collect eggs from my white egg layers and two of my Barred Rocks have laid their first eggs. I've been raising chickens for years and I still get excited when a new hen lays her first eggs, like a proud mama! Hahaha!

I can be so silly sometimes!
