Freeze dried CRUNCHIES brand Roasted veggies (walmart)

Thought I would try these as I usually enjoy freeze dried fruits and veggies. This particular brand however I did not.
Comes in a 2.25 ounce resealable bag purchased at walmart for approx. $4.
Tasted horrible. Cant spell the word that really nails the taste. But reminded me of eating a handful of the green grains horses and rabbits eat. Only this drys your mouth more.

This brand has several other flavors. I was most excited about this as it includes 2 whole ears of corn, 1//4 cup of peas, 1 whole carrot, 2/3 of a whole red pepper and 2/3 of a large tomato.

Comparing this to thrive freeze dried which I purchase a lot of. This hardly compares. Even the dried corn has lousy flavor and leave a residue much like chewing gum. It just would not go away.

I've never gotten the veggies, but the strawberries are really delicious.

Got some dried apples the other day for bucket storage, danm things rehydrated.

Haha. That is about right. Be cheaper to get a dehydrator and some apples. Been considering that. The jerky they sell is soy sauce and sugar for the plain. Not the best, not as bad as the "trail pepperoni" crap they sell. It's like a shoe upper baked in heartburn and soul sucking dryness.

Cooking and eating well is part of the experience. I could see doing freeze dried to cut down on the waste if I was going to in one place long enough.

the commercial MHs dont have this. This was a feature made for the old RCWs which they dont use in the new MCWs.
When I meant the system I meant the food.
But Oregon Freeze still produces freeze dried food for the US military.
