I would say you are right Draven, considering the arrogance of our PTB nothing would surprise me anymore.

Default martial law "for people safety - yes we can"

Hi friends from abroad. There is a playground called Europe where the things you would fear are already tried out. First let me introduce INDECT
"For people safety" http://www.indect-project.eu/ So you are wearing solid dress instead of the orange nylon jacket, you are buying more food than you can eat in one week, so you are already suspected, with that reason they will search your computer and find out that you are "a dangerous person" visiting critical webpages, or you are using a professional protection system on your computer,-only potentional terrorist are doing that. So your first leg is already imprisoned in the correction camp.
But LEO will not come. They founded a new paramilitary policeunit instead your german LEO-neibor there will be some Romanian (Portuguese)specialists which can and are allowed to shoot to kill. Their families are far away, they only understand their orders, not what you are talking . http://www.eurogendfor.org/ The french are in greece and the romanian are in france... In your case it can be a rented mexican untit supported with weapons...?
As far as i hear if its cold enough in winter and there can be short in electricity ("Because the nuclear power stations are switched off")they will let the nature do the work.....
At all bigger protest groups the cameras are already scanning every face, indect will find your face(-book) and know everything. your habits, your friends.
In nederland they have now a trial run on »@migo boras« cameras at most borders. Connected to a system similar to INDECT and even you have one or more unpaid parking tickets you can be "selected for a closer check".
...nothing is that bad, that it cannot turn worse....

Eh... all that information and it doesn't tell you a thing about a person... most people make two amaturish mistakes; a) they don't try to control their "addictions" not just drugs or drinking but acceptence & association as well & b) try to confuse the data. Now me I'm a paranoid type and heavily well read on things like psychology, tactics and strategy. My data is all over the place... The Patriot act and NDAA do the samething German Sniper just discribed but the criteria maybe different but its basicly the same.

The general concept is right, but they won't be that obvious about it.

Default America Under Martial Law - This Is What It Looks Like

I don't know if any of you saw these vids from the Boston lockdown a few months ago.

Let this be a warning - any excuse that the gov has to do it - it will be done.

    Fourth amendment? What Fourth amendment?

(usual youtube warnings apply - language, content etc.)

Given how the TSA behave now, and how some Police act now I would be more concerned about the paramilitary guys. Hitler had his brown shirts and then the SS - unfortunately the US seems to be getting a police state whether its wanted or not. Draven made a good point - how many would like food, protection etc if they helped the government "restore order" by stopping "unlawful" elements who have failed to hand in food and guns as requested?

according to the last census there are about 300 million people in the USA right now. Just counting civilian and federal law enforcement and excluding military and national guard there are only about a million law enforcement personnel in this country. That is about 300 to 1. As steelwolf pointed out, yes they can surround a town and search it house by house and disarm that own, but they had to use local personnel with US military backup. And if you really think about it, with all the roundups and confiscations, Have we won the war in Iraq or afganistan? There are still pockets of insurgents all over those counties, and there always will be.
That being said, if something like that were to happen here, I know that a lot of the local police will NOT try to go door to door and confiscate firearms or supplies because they know that they have to live here amongst all the people they would be raiding. so that leaves using foreign troops and our own military. Lets say that only half of the active military follows orders to enforce martial law, that means only half the foot soldiers would be going door to door with half the air support and half the back up they would normally have. They may be able to lock down a few cities but it would not be a long term thing.
As for the national guard....I think most of the individual state govenors would tell the fed gov to stick it and they would keep their own guard troops at home protecting their own borders and major cities. I also think that most guard troops would not show up for callout and would stay home to protect their families.
Would martial law be a bad thing? Oh yes it would be a total cluster and it would be the end of life as we know it. I don't think it would last very long however. It the HNIC decided to bring in blue helmets or foreign troops to police Americans I think a lot of top military brass would take umbrage and replace him forcefully, not to mention that it would be open season on blue helmets. I don't think there would be a nation wide martial law. There simply is no way to enforce it over such a large area. It would have to happen over smaller areas, and once something like that starts to happen then word will get out one way or another and it will get progressively harder to do once one area has been "passified" it will be more difficult to move to the next area and do it again.
A whole lot of people would die in the process If they were to declare martial law but I think that it would mostly be those doing the imposing.
If pro is the opposite of con, what is the opposite of progress?
