    I think the key phrase here is "mushroom soil". Mushroom compost can be extremely high in ammonia. Did you ph it first to make sure it had settled down enough for tomatoes? That would be my sneakyy suspicion.

    thanks for the help! i will wait and hope that the new leaves come out, they havent gotten any worse.
