Sometime in the late 1960's, my dad decided to till up our entire back yard and plant a garden - almost 1/3 acre of organic food, in the heart of the D-FW area. We hauled away over twenty truckloads of old bermuda grass, and planted everything you can imagine. I asked for, and received, my own little "space" to grow whatever I wished.

I wouldn't trade those lessons learned for all the tea in China. Good on you for getting the daughter invested in the land. You are building both character and memories that will last a lifetime.
