    Default Missile spotted over southern California

    So, it appears as though there was a missile fired over the coast of southern california yesterday at dusk and here's the kicker, the Navy said it isn't theirs. So you would think this is big news but the media types aren't running with it as I figured it would. MSNBC and the Washington Post have an article and video about 'it' along with a few of the local news agency but not much else.

    I just read that myself. Weird that nobody can figure out where it came from.

    I heard about this on GB this morning.

    During the cold war there was a scenario discussed the Pentagon couldn't defend against and scared them to death. They referred to it as victory through mugging with soviet subs off the E coast and going up the Chesapeake prepared to launch cruse missiles on DC then making demands.

    As far as the denied launch of a missile off the west coast. Who knows?

    The Chinese are very upset we're playing the RM Nixon equivalent of the China card with India right now against China. The denied missile launch could be either classic saber rattling or the proverbial shot across the bow.

    Now the argument against that would be we own China so much money right now they would for reasons too many to list be doing us a great favor by attacking us. But the most important reason is that B0 actually needs a national calamity of sorts to gain traction for his Socialist agenda.

    To better understand the logic you have to know the China and India are competitors and both want dominance in the Indian ocean.

    The news stations are idiots. This should be a non-story. If anyone at any of the news stations used just the slightest bit of thought and resource, they would have found this:

    NOTAM for LA.

    KZLA LOS ANGELES A2832/10 - THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS ARE REQUIRED DUE TO NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER WEAPONS DIVISION ACTIVATION OF W537. IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY, ALL NON-PARTICIPATING PILOTS ARE ADVISED TO AVOID W537. IFR TRAFFIC UNDER ATC JURISDICTION SHOULD ANTICIPATE CLEARANCE AROUND W537 AND CAE 1176. CAE 1155 WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR OCEANIC TRANSITION. CAE 1316 & CAE 1318 WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR OCEANIC TRANSITION. CAE 1177 WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR OCEANIC TRANSITION. W537 ACTIVE, CAE 1176 CLOSED. SURFACE - FL390, 09 NOV 20:00 2010 UNTIL 10 NOV 01:00 2010. CREATED: 08 NOV 20:52 2010

    Translation:

    NOTAM = Notice to Airmen

    Some location near Los Angeles, designated W537, has been declared to be an active restricted operating zone for pilots who are not affiliated with the Naval Air Warfare Center. Pilots navigating primarily with instruments (as opposed to visually) will be steered around the zone by air traffic controllers. The zone starts at sea level and extends up to 39,000 feet, and will be active from November 9th at 8PM GMT until November 10th at 1AM GMT.

    Good timing barry. May be why he and so many of his minion tool off last week. No one could figure why at the time.
    China and India hate each other, much like Isreal and the palasteinians. I would kind of be surprised if it was China(not really) but they would be screwing theirself considering how much money we owe them.
    Does N Korea have a sub capable of missle launch?
