Okay, guys, aside the way to graphic photos and random oil replies, keep it on topic or get the thread locked...

Not hard to manufacture yourself, as well as to move if desired for variable access. Incorporated with concrete filled pipes and cables, it'd make a rather effective vehicular barrier.

Natural means are least obtrusive for keeping people out. Wild roses coupled with blackberry bushes and the like work very well.

I think I have been inspired to build something like this now. Was the OP intent to just stop a car or people in general? I say that because if you lay spikes or something like that it can be removed. An alternative is to have those mafia blocks (Jersey barriers) scattered in a manner that the driver has to navigate thru it. Then maybe disable the car thus blocking the entrance.

Maybe I should draw a picture?

We would park a disk that we weren't using at the time. Just park them in a choke point and nobody's getting through. Easy to move out of the way with a tractor too.

Making a S-barrier only prevents vehicles from being able to navigate them at high speed. Also, larger vehicles really don't care about them a whole lot, as long as they have the ground clearance to drive over them when knocked down.

You would have to have anchors for them to at least stay somewhat upright and together. Digging a ditch and building a cheap bridge to drive over when necessary would almost be easier, as long as you had terrain that prevented departure from the roadway as well as limited or completely prevented cross-country vehicular access to the property in mention.

Short of living in a castle if someone or ones wants to get in bad enough they will. The best you can do is set up the strongest barrier and back that up with intrusion detection to alert you.

Did anyone think to block the road/trail/etc with a trailer that has been places perpendicular to the path that would be travled. You could move the trailer into a possition where it couldn't be hitched to with a trailer dolly.
