Figure this is as good a place as any for a first post.

After all, I'd rather introduce myself to the locals first

I made a joke at one point about how my CUCV runs on dead dinosaurs, hippie tears, baby seal fat and is started by my hatred for a large part of mankind

Yet one more reason I like it up here: I only have to socialize or interact if I WANT to, unlike the lower 48 where you really can't get away.

Another Alaskan thing: There's a new group on here fired up by yours truly.

    Igloo's with Wifi

Specifically intended for Alaskans since we deal with different things than pretty much anyone else, other than them 'Eh?' nucks across the border.

As a caveat, my wife's on the prep train 100% but she leaves me to dictate what/how much/where stuff is... she's got "better things to do" (my words, not hers) since we used to do fun little trips here and there. It's awesome when a camping trip to hope, in the rain, soaking wet in our tent, ends up being the most fun we've had as a while... Always interesting to see how shared hardship actually solidifies and strengthens a relationship that is strong to begin with.

Well I will give this post a try and see if anyone answers. 75 miles north of Anchorage. Wondering if there are any valley folks out there.
