I learned a lot from my CLS class( it was taught by 18D's). CLS is better than EMTb, IMO. Ofcourse someone working as an EMT will get street experience which no amount of schooling can replace. CLS skills can get rusty though, and its hard to practice IV's without willing victims ...I mean patients.

    Paramedic & instructor.

No longer do the work due to a damaged wrist (broke it on the job), but I could probably muddle on through if needed :-)

I took an infant CPR class during parenting classes 6 years ago when my daughter was born.
Last June I recieved a Heartsaver First Aid card from the American Heart Association for:
Environmental emergencies, adult/child AED, and infant CPR with mask.I really do not feel like I have near enough training for a SHTF situation. This thread is inspiring me to sign up for some better training.

Worked as a psych tech for years. Trained to do all sorts of procedures. Later trained as a RN.
