Default Do any of you members know or understand the meaning of Facism???

Been getting more disgusted with the news media here...and the reporting to where everyone who disagrees with someone else is a racist...or a fascist...or some other label.

Been thinking in the mean time about the word "Fascist." I am wondering if the members or even the people who use that word...understand the very meaning or implication as to what the word "Fascist " describes.

I have been taught that the word 'Fascist" means strong state control of the economy ..but the means of production remains in state control. In other words there is very strong regulation and control over the private sector..but the means of production remains in private hands.

Extending this further...into Communism...the main difference is that the means of production is now in government hands with strong state control and regulation.

Is this the understanding the members here have??

I bring this line of thought up because it gets disgusting listening to the media and these college kids constantly labeling Trump and Company as Fascists/Racists et al..etc etc etc..and any other label for which they can conjure up for political capital.

Seems to me that Trump and Company are not using the White House to promote new regulations and controls but cut/or get rid of a good many of them...particularly economic controls and regulations.

It strikes me that we have just stepped out of 8 years of Fascist control to the point of bullying and forcing people into a controlled herd...using Racism/Economic controls...all of them Facist in nature and not the product advertised....nor the results achieved.

Have any of the members here pondered this sort of backwardness??? This dichotomy in labeling and whoredom within the body politic...this 180 degree flip flop??

Have any of you noticed this pattern behind the word so often used/misused today...."Fascism??"

And in line with Racism...in like manner to Fascism...it was the last 8 years of the Obama administration who depended so much on manufactured Racism...manufacturing a bad guy ...by manipulating racism...to beat others into submission. It was they who needed racism across the board. This also aided in concealing the Fascism which was going on.

Just an aide to more and more "Herd Mentality." Turning out Xerox copies of the same olde confusion/chaos...labels of Racism and Fascism.

But both labels get very tiring and cause me to ask if some of these folks have enough knowledge of the historical pattern of what went on ...much less any definitions off which to help in noting history.

What do you members think...?? And about the definition of Fascism??

I don't believe there is universal agreement on the actual definition of fascism, orangetom. To me it always meant a system bordering on a dictatorship, with state control of not only the economy but also over much of production if not directly then indirectly through rules and regulation, much as what we now have in this country, but also with much more control over individuals , more so than what we have , although you could make an argument that we have slowly lost much of our personal freedom over the decades.
I guess my definition of fascism would be a border-line dictatorship, but the people have more individual liberties than a true dictatorship.

You could also argue that fascism is borderline communism, much like socialism but from a different pathway.

These people who call Trump a fascist apparently don't have a clue of the meaning or they would have called Obama and Bush fascist also. Lacking a true universal definition of the word , however , it is "easy " for people to label anyone they disagree with as a fascist.
I agree the word is used too freely , but I am also sick of the " racism " word being thrown around carelessly to degrade and destroy people who have different views but are in reality not racist at all. The race card is being played MUCH too often , even more so than the word Fascist.

    Just my opinion.

It's amusing to me that the ones who are so against labels are the very ones who use them the most. I'm in my mid thirties raised up in a small little town never really heard fascist until this election cycle so...........I'll take y'alls word for it.

    bambam and others,

Here is the problem I have with Fascism/dictatorship...as it is so often misused today.

And that is my read of what is so often reported about the nature of our colleges and universities is itself...Fascism...dictatorship...either of the faculty ..or the students or both working together.

The business of those riots at that university in Southern California certainly smelled of dictatorship...a sponsored and promoted dictatorship...an authorized dictatorship while they are often protesting for "Tolerance."

Racism follows the same pattern...intolerance while screaming and demanding tolerance from others.

The LGBT movement as well as the womens movements.

A sort of 180 degree flip flop of what they claim.

I have pondered this sort of thing among these groups long enough to see that at the top..where no one wants anyone to see or think...that they are all being run by the same controllers...the same handlers ...for social change...control and regulation....ie...Fascism...in their goals. Why is this..because they all use or misuse the same techniques...the 180 degree flip flop.....towards the same obvious goal.
This leading to the ultimate "Herd Mentality...Socialism/Communism."

That 180 degree flip flop to me is a very important tell tale...or index/fingerprint..if you like.

But yes...racism is so overused today....but it is a very emotional issue. As a matter of fact...emotions and the attempt to emotionally stroke people..to set the hook in them and thereby reel them in emotionally is also a index or fingerprint of the left...and how they operate. Label people for an emotional result that they can control and manipulate through the media and public education indoctrination. No thinking allowed...only emoting. This became clear to many with this election.

The over use of the label "Hitler" became predictable to me. I reckon now the "Hitler" label is now eroding down to "Fascist."

What I find astonishing here as well as disgusting is the absolute silence of the "Right " on how this works. The Phonies on the Right/Republicans do not teach their people to think outside this setting of the hook and being reeled in. This is what eventually taught me to think it through that the Republicans party is a phony too.

Well...enough of that Bambam....I think you and the other readers get the point. I too am disgusted with Racism and also "Professional Victimization" associated with all these emotional issues.

    Thanks,
    Orangetom

Orange, sometimes it almost seems that pushing that button would be a welcome change..............either I'll rest for eternity (I'm prepared for that) or everyone will have bigger things to worry about than being butt hurt, like eating. (I'm prepared for that too.....I think)

Yes orangetom, I know you have it all figured out, but what is very discouraging to me is that the very institutions of " higher learning " , the young people who are our future are like a bunch of frickin zombies, too easily brainwashed by the left or the right to " believe " their Bull $hit propaganda and follow the powers that be to the abyss. Can't anyone think for themselves anymore ? The problem is there are no free-thinkers anymore. Our society has created a bunch of frickin zombies, they can't function without bookface or tweeter or a cell phone to their ear. Sad.
I watched Paul Ryan on the news tonight for about 5 minutes and just dam near grabbed the shotgun to blow the TV to hell. The repubs and dems are all crooked, lying bastads , they aren't going to help us at all.. 3 frickin years to fix osamacare ??!! Frickin pricks. If they had to pay for the same healthcare we have , they'd fix it in 1 day. Oh well , I better quit, my quit, blood pressure going up. Thanks orangetom, good discussion.

    Bam see #7........

Today's generation hasn't had to struggle for anything, they don't understand work and reward, they don't know the satisfaction of building something on their own with their own hands, sweat, and blood.

Dam you are right Flock, how many kids today would sling haybales from daylight to dark for $10 a day like I did ? Wimp a$$ kids don't know the meaning of work, and that is the downfall of this country. Too few workers and too many leeches.
