    Under the articles of Confederation the first president of congress was Peyton Randolph

    Only reason I know was had a good history teacher liked to make us think.

    Agree with Tommy, as there were also certain articles left out of the Constitution from the confederation tho many didn't agree with this.

    Hanson was under the confederation n continental Congress, this was before the Constitution n before the United states. So as I said earlier, their were articles from the confederation that were left out of the Constitution against certain people's wishes. He also only served a one year term. So the first actual president of the US, under the Constitution was Washington.

    The confederation, the continental Congress n the constitutional govt were not all the same form of govt.
