Well at least there is solid earth around the state instead of a big scary ocean! I don't like places where things big as some houses can eat you. I had the same feeling when I left anchorage Alaska on my Harley in July for a quick dash down the Kenai Peninsula and got snowed in at the first pass! I didn't have my weapon it (wasn't shipped yet) and my hands were like claws as I parked my bike on the other side of a guard rail, and thew a tarp over it then rolled up in my mountain bag too cold to unzip it! I thought a Griz might stop by for a snack but it didn't happen and lucky me when I woke up the next day it was to the tapping of melt water and bright sunshine!

I don't like country or oceans where even a .45 (much less a folding buck knife) won't save you from the critters in the bush or water....

Hawaii is beautiful, the weather is perfect, but my family was glad to get out of there and return to the land of the free,
Good luck and God bless were ever you are
