Campout Saturday June 16 in Montgomery, Alabama
We are planning on a very near future campout at a new place here in Montgomery. It is located out Waresferry Road. It is called Jenkins Creek Adventures 334-277-1146. http://jenkinscreekadventures.com. We rode out there again today and we really like the place. It is quick and easy to get to for most everyone. I have not set a firm date yet but we are thinking about Saturday the 16th of June. It is on the Tallapoosa River. There is no power or water on site. It would be primitive camping only. This is located on the river with really nice beaches and fishing in the river or ponds included in the price of camping. This will be a family outing so we ask you to keep this in mind if you plan to attend. I may bring some of my ham radio gear too. HF/ VHF / UHF equipment. There is pond and river fishing, canoeing and they have a paintball area they just built. They supply the firewood. There are port-a-potties on site. Each campsite has a stone fire pit. I think this would be a great time to get together and have a nice family campout together.
I called and spoke with them and the prices are as follows: $25.00 riverside for up to 4 people and $20.00 non riverside. They do supply firewood. Pets are allowed. You can sleep in a vehicle also. This is primitive camping. No water or power. There are porty potties on site. There is plenty of room for kids to run and play and sandy beaches to sunbath on and fishing too.
