    All,

Thanks for your kind words, and continued support - even through evidence of abandonment!

I will be following up at some point with an update, I'm not sure when. There are a multitude of reasons on why, and you probably can guess at some of them, but mine are:

    - My child. I love the little guy. He is cooler than a bag of guns left on your doorstep by commando santa, but he takes allot of time, and being that I want to support my wife and family, some sacrifices had to be made. These include personal time to do all the things needed to support a story such as this.

    - Work. I don't do this full time (write), and I went through some changes at work. Basically I changed positions, and just because of the nature of what I do, for a time was having to do both my old and new job.

    - Writers block. I know where boy is going to end up (dead in a ditch or safe with girl ) and I have some shadows of ideas on how the journey will take place, but it is not coming out of me the way it used to. I have literally devoted time, sat down, and written nothing - about 6 times. I am hoping this hiatus will renew my passion and get some good stuff.

Once again, thanks again - I'll see what I can do to get Boy's arse moving, and thanks to those who have checked out our blog.

    Hey VP,

"Girl" was the first fiction I read on this site. It was amazing! I immediately anticipated "Boy".

"Girl",the subsequent fiction I read and the other forum entries popped the bubble I carried to push me towards being prepared for the inevitable need to be ready for whatever.

    Thank you, I have patience.

PS enjoy your time spent with your child. Before you know it they are grown and out trying to live their own life.

    VP,
Your efforts and desires to continue your story are admirable. However, the story is a fictional one, whereas, your life is a reality. Your main priority now is providing for your wife and son.

Don’t get caught up in any guilt feelings by thinking you’re letting anyone down because you haven’t been able to add to “Boy”. It is what it is, and you’re not obligated to anyone but your loved ones. When you’re ready, you’ll continue forward with the story…or not. It’s as simple as that.

The only thing I would recommend at this point is: If you work on the story, don’t piece meal it…work on it on ‘your’ time and post it when, or if, you finish it. This way, you’re not under any self-made pressure to get another addition posted. If you don’t ever get around to it, then so be it. That’s your choice and no one else’s.

Enjoy all the time you have with your wife and son. They’re #1…and always should be.

as a young father i feel for you. I know how hard it can be to find time as wel as the seeming brain damage caused by poor sleep and the mental drain children manage to put on you.

I have found though that turned the right way kids can be a huge inspiration. they can really make us think internally and drive us to make changes or generate dreams for their lives.

good luck and good health to you and your family.

Finished Girl for the 2nd time and thought I'd check and see how Boy was coming along.

Looking forward to another "The End". LOL
