I have been looking around and am unshore of what the best brands are for hiking packs. Hey thanx

So many choices out there...
Are you going to actually use the pack for recreational hiking or as a BOB?
How large do you need it to be?
Do you want a "military look" or do you want a "hiker" look?
Do you have a need to attach various external accessory packs?
Then you get to the question internal frame or external frame?
Maybe I'm over complicating it... just my $.02

The internal fram looks like it will suite my area of the country better being it is very woody here. It will serve as both my BOB and hiking rig . I was looking at 5500 ci units and it looks like that would suite my purposes. I am just uneducated of who makes the more durable packs. It does not need to look like military

It would be nice to be able to afford an all American product. However I can't at this time so I need a brand that is strong and flexible. thanx for that link though

Your welcome. I understand where you're coming from too though, which is why I'm simply "leaning" toward them and not buying anything yet.
