View Full Version : East Coast - Near Space Balloon Launch - July 25th
On Wed, July 25th there's going to be a high altitude balloon launch with various ham gear aboard. The "footprint" is indicated by the map.. If you're in the area you might see or hear it on the listed frequencies.. or you can track it by APRS online..

so...how'd it go?
All went well.. I got called out for a job during the flight so couldn't "live track" it. The balloon had a telemetry transmitter and APRS (Amateur Position Reporting System) on board. The max altitude was 101000 ft altitude.. ..cool beans!

And a pic shortly after launch..
