1. It's been said McCains strong point is national security and Obama's is the economy...
2. The broadcast news and major newsprint outlets are in favor of Obama for President.
3. Is it possible, that this whole bailout thing IS the October surprise that we have been hearing about?
Not a terrorist attack in the normal scene but more a terrorist attack of a mental kind. The news media is spouting gloom and doom and TEOTWAWKI and feeding our fears. This distracts away from what it typically perceived as national security and pushes the economy ... and in turn helps push Obama to the White House. News media conspiracy?
95 of the no votes were democrats and many of them were freshmen. the congressional Hispanic and black caucus mostly voted against the bill. Take the politics completely out of it and it was pretty much a 50/50 split on the bill with just a bit more against it. 1/3 of those who helped draft the bill voted against it!
