A couple of people have questioned some of my past work, so I have added some pics of some of my GM/MVO work in the mid 1980's:

And those have what to do with the original post? I had nothing to do with either of those.

I don't understand your reasoning about how they apply???

Iwas the lead design engineer for GM/MVO for my time there. The 3 vehicles I showed were all my design (meaning literally that-I did all the concept and design work for all the changes, supervised & helped build, as well as performed all the initial testing for performance and durability) as well as the CUCV program (the Blazers and pickups from GM that were sold to the military).

SS is a site I am a member of, but I have no ownership or interest in, except for enjoying the hobby of restoring and modifying military vehicles.

Asfar as buying an M35-it depends on how much you want to spend and what options you want (for example, cab heaters were not standard on some....LOL). Maybe a PM with your needs might be better???

Best as always,

Bob

I am an Instructor working in Iraq for the MRAP vehicles. The best Mraps by far IMO, the most liked by the users, and the best trial by fire record are the MRAPS built by Force Protection Industries. The two that they have in country now are the Buffalo (Bonecrusher from the Transformer movie), and the Cougar (see my avatar). The MRAPs made by the other companies have accounted for 80% of MRAP rollover incidents as they are to tall and top heavy for the way the troops are driving them. But the MRAP in general, has saved in excess of 10,000 soldiers and marines lives to date. Lets hope the govt. buys the smaller MRAPs for the humvee replacement.
