I have been seeing Chinook helios and another type of heliocopter flying low around north central Arkansas. Has anybody heard anything?

We have ng in the area but they are basicily a unit of mechanics. They get deployed to fix tanks, jeeps..... it's a mechanized unit. The armory is in town and there is no place to land something like that. Now down in Little Rock there is an Air Force base, but we normally dont see them when they practice.

Local airshow comming up? Grew up near an AirNG base and the weeks leading up to the annual show usually made for some interesting sights.

Pot eradication op's. It is harvest time right now for it. It is nothing to see Blackhawks, Kiowas, and troops in battle rattle in Humvee's around my area this time of year. Every year in fact.

Good call , the thought ran through my mind .... but then I asked myself "why CH's?" They have to get the stuff out!
The way I see it , better to have it come from the boonies then cross the border.

Yea then at least it supports the local economy when they grow it here.:p:D I remember a report on 20/20 probably 15 years ago now that said Kentucky had a 2 billion dollars year industry that kept the local economy alive. I'm not saying its right to break the law but look at the they taxs if they made it legal.I know a lot of people would just grow their own but Millions that live in city's and what not that cant grow will buy it from store. Same rules as alcohol. Sorry for the hijack but I would say as ZH said, it is that time of year around here to copters everywhere.

Arpacker; I think if you will check out at the airport, (the one with the taxi-ways all torn up) We live pretty close to the same place. The Chinooks are probably basing themselves there in the evening, and during the day, always about this time of year, along with the sheriff's deputies, are looking for the Mary Jane patches, to erradicate them. Years ago, I worked at the airport, and that is what they were doing. Watch for them, in the fall, every year.
