Within it's limits, better than most ideas. A target, it ain't much of one. Folded, it looks like a regular, commercial service body. See the previous discussion on vehicles:

Skin the sides with bed sides and a chopped up topper, have them connected and hinged at the top to make an awning, it would look nearly bone stock.

I am considering the purchase of a 1992 Ford Econoline cargo van that is set up from the factory to run on propane. The guy only wants $1000 for it. It has no windows in back so whatever you keep will be invisible to prying eyes...there is plenty of room in the back for 2 or more people to sleep in a pinch, and it has a 302 V-8 with a tow package and it gets about 14 mpg on propane. I like the idea of not having to compete with every other motorist for gasoline, and if I bought the right hardware I could probably run this thing off of 5 gal BBQ cylinders or even 16 oz disposables in a pinch. Plus it looks plain jane ordinary and wont draw undue attention.

What you MAY find is the unit is set up to run on liquid not vapor. If is is set up to run on liquid you may want to invest in a couple of forklift cylinders. The typical BBQ (as well as almost all appliances) run on low pressure LP vapor, while most engines run on liquid. You can turn a 20# cylinder upside down to get liquid but the pressure relief valve will NOT function properly, those valves are made to relieve vapor and the boiling point of LP is -42f and it can/will freeze the relief shut....not safe...

I'm thinking a van, put in a 4x4 system. get one with out windows in the back, say a cargo style work van. lots of storage. they usually have v-8's and can tow.

Even better if you can find a diesel; put a divorced t-case in it with a Dana 60 and you're golden...

Well yeah, i think the whole idea would be to remain unseen in the crowd, if it blends in, no one will be looking? Hey that guy has a really nice fancy truck, he must be rich, wait rich guys have supplies. Lets get him? If it looks like a beater POS but has a built rock solid running gear, i think that would work. :)
