The usual crap;

We had a thread about that on FSN a couple of years ago. Can't find it right now, and couldn't cross post it if I did. It collapsed because of the tremors of 2 much larger buildings collapsing less than a block away the day before.

Did do a little research on Bldg 7 back then, though, but this is just from memory:
Nearest seismograph is 23 mi north by the Palisades River. That station recorded (I think) 2.4 magnatude for EACH collapse of the towers. A seismograph in New Hampshire was the farthest away to register anything. Remember, that was 23 miles away, getting less and less every mile. Would expect the shock at 500' away was probably closer to a 5 magnatude,

My point was, and still is, that at close range (a block) the shock of 2 LARGE buildings hitting the ground was enough to weaken the structure of bldg 7 enough in the basement beams to appear to "implode" as it went down.

Then why didnt all the builings right near the towers come down? Yes they had worst damage then wtc7!

Would depend on construction/inspection techniques used and codes adhered to;

Ever seen pictures of earthquake damages? Doesn't matter where the pics were taken. I look at the patterns. Sure, at ground zero for a really killer quake, it's pure destruction. But when you see pics of the outer fringes of the quake area, there will be one building on the ground with two or three next to it still standing but with damage.

Design, inspections, etc? Not to mention "greasing the palm" of building officials. OH, THAT'S RIGHT, I'm not supposed to say that about the largest, most corrupt city in the U.S..

WTC7 was built to stand up to the worst case scenarios. It was upgraded to be the command center for the mayor in the late 80s, that included strengthening of the support beams. It was built to be a type of bomb shelter so a couple of small fires and some small shock waves would not have brought it down and even if the fire and the shock wave where great enough buildings do not fall straight down on them selfs at free fall speed. There are pics of the building that show a huge rip in the one corner that weakened that side. So since the one side is weaker then the other it would have started to fall on that side first!

Yugoshooter;

Get on Wikipedia. 7 World Trade Center. Check out the list of societies and associations still doing research on the collapse. Including:

NIST, National Institute of Standards and Technology
SEI, Structural Engineering Institute
AISC, American Institute of Steel Construction (The Bible for all steel work)
And a few other organizations.

There is no mention of explosives or explosive residue. They do however address the "rip" you mentioned, and seismic shocks to a point. Down a way where they are dismissing the conspiracy theories.

As you may or may not have guessed, I've been in construction (heavy and light) all my adult life. Don't want to post a resume. Kind of semi-retired now, but my last "real" job was as QC Inspector with an Orlando Engineering firm.

BTW, if you ever want to ride the Kraken at Sea World, do so with confidence. I had to sign off on it (before opening) and know every bolt, cubic yard of concrete, piece of rebar, etc on the site, and still have three volumns of hand written reports and the drawings.

yeah, and after all this time STILL undergoing research. a farce i fear. also, wikipedia is controlled, filtered, censored, ecspecially concerning 911, zionism, israel, and the holocaust to name a few. i use wikipedia, but for basic reference only.
