Anybody else heard this? They are supposedly in there killing Kurds, and have Turkish air support, with a mechanized division sitting on the border waiting to move. Some of you boys who work for the State Department and read this forum may want to jump in on this one - go ahead and explain that this is just so much foo foo, I'm all ears!

The poor Turks are having problems with the Kurds. All I can say is GOOD for the Kurds; these people have been getting screwed for along time. I'm sure there are some older Kurds, still waiting for the land that the allies promised them, for their help in WWII.

If the Turks do invade Iraq, this will be an interesting problem for Nato.
Can't wait to see how this works out.

IMHO if any group of people should have some land given to them, to make their own country, I would vote for the Kurds to be the one's.

63rd anniversary of D-Day, and the Turks have crossed the border into Iraq with full force - 50,000 men and heavy main battle tanks according to Debka, the Israeli news source ( Voice of Mossad ). Just this week we pulled out of Northern Iraq and negotiated deals with the Kurds - Oh well, all is hell now!

Interesting that no one mentions the fact that the IDF are in northern Iraq training and arming the Kurds which they are using to guard the two oil piple lines going to the state of Israel.........also Costa Rica and one more country have tow bases alongside the oil pipe lines in order to protect them.
