Have any of you read the masterpiece "Watchmen" by Allan Moore? A genius perpetrates an alien invasion hoax at the cost of roughly one million New Yorker deaths so as to fool USA and USSR into uniting against a common foe. World peace is achieved; the genius' allies discover his plan (too late to save the New Yorkers) but they are faced with the dilemma of releasing the truth at the risk of the newfound peace or remaing silent and living with the murder of over one million in the attempt of buy peace and stability. This is a very good read from the 1980s.

I heard that the MJ-12 documents were forgeries.I have no doubt that aliens exist and are visiting the earth on a regular basis though.
