Harbor freight has Army canteens CHEAP!

I just bought 6 2 quart canteens with covers for $9.95 ea.
Major Surplus (hate to say it) has them and they are brand new and USGI.
I think desert tan is the only choice.
SPG has some insulated canteens fro $1 ea in 20 pack.
I have a couple of these for in car kit so they won't freeze.
It gets real cold here.

Can't beat surplus canteens;

Got a couple old metal ones (w/metal cup and case) from the fifties. Even a mess kit w/utensils (if I can find it).

Damn, I really miss the REAL Army surplus stores from back then.

Anyone in the ATlanta facinity should check out a store we have on Cobb parkway, just south of the Big Chicken. If you like Army surplus stores that carry vintage or vintage -like equipment, this is heaven. Its called Hodges Army Navy. Its about the size of a grocery store and they have everything from gas masks , to vintage patches.... :soldier: :P

Ok I havent had time to go myself but a friend of mine stopped in Harbor Freight and they DO have the army canteens, @ 3$ each. If anyones interested, I could pick some up for you guys or just get the item # so you can order them from harbor freight directly.
