Ron Paul is a republican representative in congress from Texas. It's funny because people who don't know anything about him immediately judge him based on region and political party. well bush messed us up quite good and he's a texas republican too right? well ron paul is different. he's the total opposite from bush. being a texas republican means nothing. don't judge based on region or political party, judge based on his actions and track record. myself and the rest of the political activists i associate with online all support ron paul for president because he stands in support of the nationalist freedom that the bush administration has dilligently worked to destroy. it's a shame we passed up our opportunity to do the right thing and impeach bush/cheney but hopefully we don't miss our opportunity to do the right thing in electing ron paul as president in 2008.

Read up on Mr Paul from Aaron's references and his campaign website. He is a member of the Libertarian Party that got elected as a Republican. His views hover on common sense, but as a strict constitutionalist a bit naive in the realm of foriegn policy. It is a mean world out there and we have to be the meanest kid on the block. This is what I gather:

Foriegn Policy-C- It borders on isolationism and we can't afford to lose
Domestic Policy-A-strict constitutionalist, origional intent is good.
Economy-B- some good ideas on how to make business flourish
Taxes-A-less bureacracy less taxes-novel idea
Civil Rights-B-some votes on gun issues were disturbing, all in all good
Immigration-A-It's what we are all thinking.
Trade-C- is tied to foriegn policy and he is a bit naive on the subject
Sovereignty-A-Almost to the point of crowning him Grand Poobah of tinfoil
Defense-C-Like I said alot of people wan to see us go down- he can't see
Monetary Policy-C-Trade follows policy, the strength of th dollar is trade
Budget-A- I'm sure he would cut the fat out of DC

The voting site went down as I was checking out his congressional record. It looked like he was pro govt funded abortion? Doesn't fly with me nor does failure to have parental notification guidelines.

He advocates individual rights and property rights which is good, but his narcotics stance is less desireable.

I've been following Ron Paul for some time now. For some interesting reads, go to his site and read his views on gold.

that's what gets me the most about him. he wants to abolish the fed and bring back real money / put the power to print money back into the hands of the government, and not in the hands of a private central bank. as far as i can tell that is the biggest problem we have in america right now, the federal reserve and irs. fiat money and mobsters, and ron stands up against that system.

He gets in there and he is a bullet candidate for a future Kennedyesque conspiracy theory.

WTH, I guess I'll just jump in then.

I used to be a dem. years ago, then one day I watched a church burn down in Waco, TX. I knew there were still people inside and that the MIB were running tanks outside against US Citizens(a first for me to see).

I watched and I asked myself, "Who are these people? Who's in charge here? Who gave the go sign? I knew the answers. I also knew something was very wrong. Something that shook me to my core belief of what years of being a Citizen meant. Yes growing up I stood at the front of my school desk and said The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, you guys remember "Duck and Cover?" Sure you do. Walter Cronkite(sp-who cares- commie rat bastage) coming on before Disney on Sunday night. I felt safe and proud.

Waco and Ruby Ridge changed that for me. Well that and becoming self employed.

Now I want answers. I want personal responsibility from my elected officials. I want strict adherence to The Constitution. I want those government agencies that have violated that sacred document to be tried by the Citizens to whom they are accountable.

I don't want a politician to tell me what he or she believes in.....I want them to to ask me what they can do to strengthen this Country, to hold accountable those(both foreign and domestic-it's in there)that would knowingly violate a Citizens rights.

Is Ron Paul the man for the job? I'm finding out all that I can about him. So far what I see is someone who doesn't flip-flop and sticks his finger in the wind. I will watch and wait and if he is worthy I will give him a most precious gift, my vote.
