Now we have our weapons, but are you ready to employ them? Can you distinguish the "telltale" signs that force of violence is imminent. In other words can you read non verbal communication.
Signs to look for in a adversary are:
shifting head
darting eyes
failure to make eye contact
flushing
tension of body muscles
shifting body weight
brushing of clothing (possible location of concealed wepon)
excessive gesticulation
off stance presentation
Now I am not talking about someone who is charging with blood in their eyes, but someone who approaches you with a projection of benign intent.
Use these indicators as an initiative and give yourself ample room to present your weapon and politely end the discussion.
Now this not all-encompassing, so observations and opinions are welcome.

i wonder what would happen if we applied those rules to the speeches of politicians, with slow motion analysis and commentary?
just asking.. I suspect interesting observations could be made, though.
I think 'forerunners' .. that faintest hint of 'bad vibe' is often ignored by sheeple, to their distress. I think that the first rule of survival is have a seriously paranoid don't syndrome, and when you are in doubt, don't.
"just say no" is the smartest piece of advice i ever heard made fun of.
no, don't do that, no, i can't help you, no, i don't want any, no, you're in the wrong place.
no. a firm NO is a USEFUL tool to protect your bodily integrity, and sometimes it's for THEM, and sometimes it's for YOU, and you get to use it whenever you please. Remember that, it's a full automatic, 100% suppressed, unlimited ammo, totally legal survival tool with unlimited range.
NO. try it. NO. .. see? easy. No, don't go out drinking and carry a gun, just don't bluidy go out drinking at ALL.. if you want to drink booze, go in your house and shut the door.
AND try really hard to avoid practicing room clearing whilst imbibing, or other tactical training procedures.. (more of that No stuff) ..
and then use your practice at 'No'ing' to apply to any interaction you don't want.
If a person assaults you they should become shot. If you give them enough time to DECIDE to assault you, before acting, YOU lost the essental half step of control. YOU work the odds, make the decisions, control YOUR actions and responses, AS NECESSARY without any compunctions or handwringing.
what most folks lack, as civilized amateurs, is the instant decisiveness to ACT NOW. as opposed to in 3 seconds when it's too late.
and, forming and practicing a firm, unconditional, CLEAR.. 'NO' is a good investment in rapid decision making under stress.
Not all gunfighter training is touching a gun and timing. Much of it is mental groove, no second thoughts, trained deliberate reflexes with trigger points..
THINK IT THROUGH, and decide what IS the right action, in the right circumstance, and then decide what TRIGGERS that action, all in advance.
but having a very crisp 'NO' on tap doesn't make that harder. An Imperitive Mindset.. you do NOT want mayo, you want mustard, and you WILL send mayo back. :)
Imperitive folks often make minor social waves... but they tend to have good shoots. ya wins some, ya lose some..
